Wilson Andrews is information designer at
The Washington Post, where he creates interactive infographics and online project design. He is a recent graduate from the
School of Journalism at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a teenager he became interested in using a computer to develop his creative instincts, especially with regard to music production. He gradually moved from his first 4-track to multitrack recording and mixing. His efforts culminated in two CD's by his band
FOM.
At UNC, Wilson found his niche in the award-winning multimedia department of the
School of Journalism. After taking classes ranging from 3D Design Studio to Advanced Multimedia Programming, he is able to mesh his many skills to provide endless creative possibilities.
Wilson has applied his skills as a multimedia designer for
Morehead Planetarium and Science Center's production team and as a graphic designer for
Bolt Group. With working trips to
South America and the
World Winter Special Olympics, he has gained valuable learning experiences both stateside and abroad.
Wilson has many passions aside from his work with multimedia. He is an avid sports fan; he bleeds Tar Heel blue. Wilson plays guitar and loves music, and is always looking for new tunes to expand his music library.
Most of all Wilson is a hard-working, innovative multimedia designer who will work efficiently and effectively for you.
Wilson is available for web design, interactive graphics and audio/video production (and anything else you can dream up).
